Has anyone dealt with this fault code before?

17939 - Camshaft Timing Adjustment, P1531 - 004 - Open Circuit

I recently got my Avant serviced, with the timing belt, tensioner/pulleys, hydraulic damper and alternator belt changed.
While they were servicing this fault code appeared in the diagnostics.

They reset service counter and the fault code disappeared.
They did mention in the repair list that if the EML came on again that they would need to diagnose again and probably replace the Camshaft adjuster.

The EML has come only days after the repair.

Has anyone else experienced this problem before?
Will it affect the performance of the my car?
Can I continue to drive with the fault code? Or should I get this sorted out immediately?

Hello
My bet is that they did not phase the cams or cam correct. Maybe they do not have proper equipment. If i understand correct the failure code appeared after the service not before.
