MK3 Golf Windscreen air vent problem Hi there, I've got a MK3 Golf and since I've bought it, there is no air coming out of the windscreen vents. The rotary switch will go on to the position for windscreen vents no problem although not around to the some of the other positions.Anyone got any ideas? Wasn't sure if to do with the cable operation of the flap to open/close airflow? Cheers Andy

Comment Hi Andy, mine have the same problem, I had just bought the car second hand, and wasnt too sure of the servicing it had prior to me owning it. The heating system seemed very poor, with very little airflow, so i checked the pollen filter under the front nearside lower windscreen cowl, and it was as i suspected, absolutely choked up with dirt and dust! replaced it (£6.00 or so from my friendly VAG trade center) and it works a treat now!! So I would check yours now if i was you!
