AUDI COUPE 2.0 16V STARTING AND RUNNING PROBLEMS 1995

please can any one help. my audi coupe has starting and running problems. starting first with it being a bit hesitant now takes ages to start will rev all the way up but it seems to have a problem around the 2000rpm. If i try to accelerate qucikly from idle at 2,000 rev it will try to stall. Is there any common probs or reccomended tests i could do. thanks karl.

Sounds like it is either fuel supply restriction (fuel filter, pump or sticky distributor) or electrical (relay, loose wiring), regards Francis
